Duties:
Represent clients in family law litigation, including divorce, custody, support, and restraining order cases.
Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
Appear in court for hearings, trials, and settlement conferences.
Provide strategic legal counsel to clients, guiding them through the litigation process.
Work collaboratively with support staff and fellow attorneys to ensure optimal case outcomes.
Engage in negotiation and mediation to resolve disputes when possible.
Requirements:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Licensed to practice law in New York.
Minimum of 6 months of litigation experience, preferably in family law.
Strong courtroom presence and advocacy skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to providing compassionate client service while maintaining professionalism in high-conflict situations.
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
