This role focuses on proactive and reactive privacy and data protection compliance, working with clients on data security incidents and related regulatory investigations.

Duties

• Advise clients on privacy and security obligations
• Manage state, federal, and international data security incident notifications
• Defend clients in regulatory investigations related to privacy and security
• Conduct legal analysis and provide strategic recommendations
• Collaborate with technical teams to understand and communicate key issues

Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of experience for mid-level associates; 7+ years for senior associates
• Law firm or in-house experience in privacy and cybersecurity breach response or related litigation
• Exceptional project management and organizational skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Bar admission in relevant jurisdiction

• Strong understanding of data privacy and security laws
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
