Location

Duties

• Manage a litigation caseload involving toxic tort matters from inception through resolution

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, legal memoranda, and trial documents

• Attend and conduct court appearances, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences

• Collaborate with attorneys and legal teams across offices in a cohesive, team-oriented environment

• Communicate with clients and provide regular status updates and legal counsel

• Contribute to trial preparation and provide support for second-chair or first-chair trial roles

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in toxic tort defense

• Experience handling asbestos, talc, silicosis, diacetyl, benzene, or related toxic tort claims

• Strong knowledge of pretrial procedures, motion practice, and deposition strategies

• Demonstrated ability to manage litigation independently and work effectively within a team

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the state of California

Skills

• Superior analytical and research skills

• Strong written and oral communication abilities

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Proficiency in drafting legal documents and navigating complex litigation matters

• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external clients

• Trial preparation or second-chair trial experience is a plus
