Job Overview

A law firm seeks a talented and driven senior litigation associate to join its growing practice in New York, NY. This role offers exposure to a wide range of litigation matters across industries, providing opportunities for professional growth in a collaborative environment. The successful candidate will have experience in both state and federal courts and will be adept at developing litigation strategies and managing the litigation process.

Duties

• Conduct legal research and draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda.
• Draft and respond to initial pleadings and discovery.
• Navigate and manage all aspects of discovery disputes.
• Conduct and manage all fact and expert discovery, including e-discovery.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Manage litigation independently or as part of a team.
• Delegate to and supervise junior associates efficiently.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in general commercial litigation.
• Experience managing e-discovery processes and navigating discovery disputes.
• Strong analytical abilities and excellent client-relations skills.
• Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bar admission is required in the attorney's resident and/or affiliated office.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

• Bar admission in the attorney's resident and/or affiliated office.
