Job Overview:
A well-regarded law firm based in Carlsbad, CA, is actively seeking a seasoned litigation attorney through a legal recruiting partner. The firm concentrates on real estate, business, and construction defect matters, particularly those involving common interest developments. The ideal candidate will bring at least three years of litigation experience and thrive in a dynamic, remote-first legal environment with optional access to a hybrid workspace. The position demands strong analytical thinking, written advocacy, and an ability to manage litigation across its full lifecycle—from pleadings to trial support.

Duties:

• Manage cases through all stages of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

• Represent clients in court, including motion hearings and trial proceedings

• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, briefs, and other court filings

• Draft and respond to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission

• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and courts

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient handling of matters

• Participate in mediations and settlement negotiations

Requirements:

• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on litigation experience

• Background in construction defect or real estate litigation preferred

• Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• California Bar admission in good standing (mandatory)

Skills:

• Exceptional legal writing and oral advocacy skills

• Strong research and analytical capabilities

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, including advanced formatting features

• Skilled in Adobe Acrobat, including PDF editing and document compilation

• High level of organization and attention to detail

• Professional demeanor with a collaborative mindset
