Job Overview
A national law firm focused on real estate, civil litigation, and creditors’ rights is seeking a Litigation Attorney to support its California-based practice. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work on complex legal matters, including title issues, foreclosure, lien priority, and loss mitigation litigation. Ideal candidates will bring at least five years of litigation experience and demonstrate strong courtroom, client service, and problem-solving skills. The position offers a hybrid/remote work arrangement with occasional in-state travel to the firm's California office.

Location

• Carlsbad, CA

Duties

• Manage real estate and creditors’ rights litigation matters from inception to resolution

• Represent clients in court, including bench trials, hearings, and motions practice

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda in accordance with civil procedure

• Utilize case management and legal reporting software to maintain case files

• Provide legal counsel on Title & Lien Priority, Title Claims, Foreclosure, Eviction, TILA, RESPA, and FDCPA compliance

• Maintain regular, proactive communication with clients and internal stakeholders

• Collaborate with colleagues in a supportive legal team environment

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate, civil litigation, or creditors’ rights law

• Proven experience with motions practice and bench trials

• Familiarity with applicable federal and state statutes impacting real estate and creditor litigation

• Must be able to travel for court appearances as necessary

• Strong client communication and case strategy skills required

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of California (required)

• Additional bar admissions are a plus
