Job Overview: A reputable law firm is seeking an associate with at least 2 years of litigation experience to join its Construction & Infrastructure Projects team in the Atlanta office. This is an exciting opportunity to represent clients across the country in a nationally recognized construction practice. The ideal candidate will have strong academic credentials, excellent interpersonal skills, and a willingness to travel. While experience in construction disputes, construction litigation, or an engineering background is desirable, it is not mandatory. Judicial clerkship experience is also a plus.
Location:
Atlanta, Georgia
Duties:
Represent clients in construction and infrastructure-related litigation matters
Handle disputes related to construction contracts, project delays, and related issues
Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on legal strategy and case management
Conduct legal research and draft legal documents including motions, briefs, and memoranda
Participate in client meetings and manage client relationships
Travel as required for client matters and legal proceedings
Support litigation efforts from initial filing through resolution
Requirements:
Minimum 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in construction law
Superior academic credentials (High Honors, Law Review, and/or Moot Court)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Willingness to travel as required by client needs
Experience with construction disputes or construction litigation is desirable but not mandatory
Engineering background or judicial clerkship experience is a plus
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Must be admitted to practice in Georgia or able to obtain admission in Georgia
Skills:
Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively
Willingness to engage in litigation-related travel
Ability to work independently while contributing to team efforts
