A law firm in Colorado, is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Trial Attorney to lead its litigation department. This position offers the opportunity to handle high-value personal injury cases from start to finish, with a focus on achieving optimal results for clients. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing trials and mediations and will play a key role in mentoring junior attorneys while helping shape the firm's litigation processes.

Location:

• Denver, CO

Duties:

• Lead personal injury cases through the litigation process, including preparation for and attendance at trials and mediations.
• Collaborate with the legal team to ensure the best results for clients.
• Mentor and guide junior attorneys and staff, sharing litigation experience and knowledge.
• Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery requests/responses.
• Represent clients in court, handling all aspects of legal proceedings, including arguing motions.
• Stay current with state, local, and federal statutes to provide informed legal counsel.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions.
• Prepare for and attend trials, mediations, and arbitrations on behalf of clients.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing personal injury cases, including trials and mediations.
• Licensed to practice law in Colorado and in good standing with the Colorado State Bar.
• Ability to manage high-value cases and lead litigation efforts from start to finish.
• Strong mentoring skills to guide junior attorneys and staff.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership with the Colorado State Bar.

Skills:

• Proven trial and litigation skills with experience handling complex personal injury cases.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Ability to mentor and work collaboratively with a legal team.
• Excellent oral advocacy skills, including motion arguments and trial representation.
• Organizational skills to manage a high caseload effectively.
