Location

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal memoranda

• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution

• Provide legal counsel and updates to clients on case progress and strategy

• Collaborate with attorneys and staff across offices and departments

• Prepare clients and witnesses for depositions and trial testimony

• Assist with trial preparation and serve in lead or second-chair trial roles

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of defense litigation experience

• Background in transportation, trucking, or motor vehicle accident defense preferred

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex caseloads independently

• Experience with depositions, court appearances, and discovery motion practice

• Familiarity with pretrial preparation and trial strategy

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in the State of California

• In good standing with the California State Bar

Skills

• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to cross-examine witnesses and draft discovery effectively

• Exceptional organizational and time management skills

• Strong interpersonal communication and client management abilities

• Proficient in legal research tools and litigation software
