Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, is currently seeking a driven and knowledgeable Associate Immigration Attorney. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload, provide strategic legal guidance to clients, and grow within a collaborative and supportive legal team. The attorney will engage in courtroom advocacy, direct client interaction, and legal research while working closely with experienced professionals in a fast-paced immigration practice.

Duties:

• Interpret complex immigration laws and advise clients on individualized strategies

• Represent clients in both detained and non-detained matters before the Immigration Court and BIA

• Conduct intake interviews at detention facilities when required

• Prepare and file immigration petitions and applications, including those related to removal defense and family sponsorship

• Review case files and recommend improvements or corrections before submission

• Collaborate with law enforcement and nonprofit partners to communicate changes in immigration policy

• Deliver consultations to potential clients and design case strategies

• Prepare clients and witnesses for appearances before immigration authorities and courts

• Draft legal briefs and other documentation for various immigration matters

• Maintain organized, timely progress on assigned caseloads

Requirements:

• 1 to 4 years of hands-on immigration law experience

• Demonstrated success managing individual cases independently

• Comfortable working as part of a team-oriented legal department

• Spanish language proficiency strongly preferred

• Familiarity with immigration forms and procedures involving USCIS, EOIR, detained, and humanitarian relief

• Strong interpersonal and client communication skills

• Proficiency with legal case management systems is beneficial

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

• Active Bar membership in any U.S. jurisdiction

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the United States (in good standing)

Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Persuasive oral and written communication abilities

• Organized, detail-focused, and able to prioritize in a high-volume environment

• Empathetic and culturally sensitive approach to client representation
