A nationally recognized law firm is seeking an experienced Of Counsel Commercial Litigation Attorney to join its growing Downtown Los Angeles office. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an expanding litigation team that provides a full range of complex litigation services across diverse industries. The position offers a chance to work closely with a dynamic team of experienced litigators and handle significant client matters, with opportunities for trial work and leadership responsibilities.

Duties

• Manage complex commercial litigation matters independently and as part of a team

• Draft and argue discovery motions, dispositive motions, and class certification motions

• Prepare pleadings, discovery requests, and responses

• Handle document production and manage discovery phases

• Take and defend depositions, including expert and fact witnesses

• Assist in preparing for and participating in jury trials and bench trials

• Provide strategic counseling and litigation support to a wide range of corporate clients

• Collaborate with litigation teams across various jurisdictions

• Engage in proactive case management and contribute to client development initiatives

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in complex commercial litigation

• Prior experience in a mid-size or large law firm setting

• Strong oral and written advocacy skills

• Ability to independently handle case management responsibilities

• Entrepreneurial spirit with interest in contributing to a growing office

• Experience handling high-value and complex business litigation, consumer class actions, products liability, or similar practice areas

• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and community service initiatives

• Admission to and good standing with the California State Bar

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in California
