Defense Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks an experienced and motivated Attorney to join its defense team in Las Vegas, NV. This full-time, hybrid position offers the opportunity to work on diverse legal matters in a variety of practice areas, including construction defects, insurance defense, civil rights, employment litigation, product liability, and more. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator with strong research and writing skills and a desire to contribute to the firm’s continued success.

Duties

• Represent clients in various defense-related legal matters, including construction defect claims, insurance defense, civil rights litigation, and product liability cases.
• Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
• Participate in court proceedings, depositions, and client meetings.
• Advise clients on legal risks, liabilities, and potential outcomes.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and ensure high-quality legal representation.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Nevada or willingness to sit for the Nevada Bar exam.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Nevada State Bar (or willingness to sit for the Nevada Bar exam).

Skills

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Detail-oriented and highly proficient in legal research and analysis.
• Knowledge of Nevada’s legal landscape, particularly in construction, insurance, and commercial law, is a plus.
• Ability to independently manage legal tasks while maintaining high standards of work quality.
