A respected immigration law firm in New York City is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its legal team. This role involves representing clients in various immigration matters, including visa applications, permanent residency, and citizenship. Represent clients in immigration proceedings before USCIS, EOIR, and other administrative bodies
Prepare and file petitions, waivers, applications, and supporting documentation for various immigration benefits
Conduct legal research and draft legal memoranda, motions, and briefs
Attend interviews, hearings, and court appearances as needed
Advise clients on immigration options and case strategy
Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal support staff to manage caseloads
Maintain case files and meet filing deadlines with accuracy and efficiency
Admission to a U.S. state bar and in good standing
Strong working knowledge of U.S. immigration law and procedures
1–3 years of experience in immigration law preferred (internships and clinical work may qualify)
Ability to manage multiple active cases in a fast-paced environment
Willingness to work in person at the New York office
Reliable transportation or relocation plans to New York, NY
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Active bar license in any U.S. jurisdiction
Excellent legal research and writing skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills
High attention to detail and organizational efficiency
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a legal team
Fluency in a second language is a plus (but not required)
