Duties

• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff in a team-oriented setting.
• Manage all aspects of litigation, including trial preparation and court appearances.
• Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and motion papers.
• Conduct legal research and provide strategic guidance to clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients, courts, and adversaries.
• Negotiate settlements and lead paralegals by reviewing drafts and answering questions.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State bar; admission to NJ and elsewhere is a plus.
• 1-3 years of proven NY civil litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation and collections.
• Strong knowledge of New York civil procedure.
• Excellent legal drafting and oral advocacy skills.
• Proficiency in legal research databases like LexisNexis.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Acrobat Pro, and Google Workspace.

Education

Certifications
