Foreclosure Technician II
Responsibilities: Monitor activities of all foreclosure cases assigned, from time loan is referred to attorney for foreclosure proceedings until property is in conveyance order, with the exception of loss mitigation actions; ensure compliance with all foreclosure guidelines and requirements as set forth by government agencies, PMI companies and private investors. Maintain and monitor caseload by updating systems. Monitor files and attorney progress against foreclosure timelines; escalate aged files with attorney firms and other internal departments to ensure adherence to GSE/investor timelines. Review documents prepared by attorneys for accuracy and prepare for management execution. Complete reports in foreclosure system, including holds reports to determine if holds on accounts are valid and issues reports to resolve items raised by attorney firms and other internal Default departments. Prepare detailed timeline, at minimum every 25 days, for each loan in portfolio. Complete the affidavit and pre-sales checklist. Prepare pre-sale certifications. Monitor tax and homeowner association (HOA) liens. Prepare state reporting and various state-specific notices. Prepare weekly reports for clients. Attend weekly phone conferences for clients. Work on various exception reports. Assist with or handle more complex portfolios. Assist Team Leads and mentor/train other Foreclosure Technicians. Other duties as assigned.
