Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced attorney to join its Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy department in Potomac, MD. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years of experience in creditor-side foreclosure, litigation, and bankruptcy, with expertise in both state and federal courts.

Duties

• Handle all first draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Manage, organize, and oversee all aspects of pending foreclosure and bankruptcy matters in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
• Argue motions, plan confirmations, and evidentiary hearings.

Requirements

• Admission to the MD state bar (DC and VA a plus) and in good standing.
• Minimum of four years of litigation experience.
• Proficiency in legal research tools and software.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the MD state bar.

Skills

• Strong legal research and writing skills.
