A well-established law firm based in Red Bank, NJ, is seeking a skilled Family Law Litigation Associate to join its Civil Litigation team. This opportunity is ideal for a litigation attorney with 3-5 years of relevant experience who is looking to grow their practice within a firm known for its collaborative environment and complex casework. The role emphasizes courtroom appearances, drafting legal documents, and managing family law matters from initiation through resolution.

Duties:

• Represent clients in family law matters, including custody, divorce, alimony, and support proceedings

• Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery responses

• Handle all phases of litigation, including depositions, pre-trial motions, and oral arguments

• Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies

• Appear in court for hearings, arguments, and conferences

• Maintain thorough documentation and case files

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of billable hours

• Collaborate with colleagues and legal support staff on case preparation and execution

Requirements:

• Active license to practice in New Jersey

• 3-5 years of hands-on litigation experience

• Demonstrated experience managing family law cases

• Proficiency in drafting and filing legal documents independently

• Comfortably handling depositions and appearing in court

• Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines

• Able to manage a full caseload efficiently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar (mandatory)

• Admission in any of the following jurisdictions is advantageous: New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, or Connecticut

Skills:
