Duties

• Represent clients in all stages of criminal proceedings, including arraignments, pre-trial hearings, motions, and trials.
• Develop and execute effective defense strategies tailored to each client's unique situation.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft motions, memoranda, and other key legal documents.
• Negotiate skillfully with prosecutors to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
• Provide proactive and compassionate client communication throughout the legal process.
• Maintain detailed, organized case files and documentation.
• Supervise and mentor paralegals and support staff.
• Collaborate closely with senior attorneys to ensure top-tier representation across all cases.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of criminal defense experience preferred.
• Strong courtroom presence and confident advocacy skills.
• Exceptional legal writing, research, and negotiation abilities.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software.

Education

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications
