A well-established law firm in Boston, MA, is actively seeking a mid-level associate to join its vibrant team specializing in employment law. This role is designed for a legal professional with hands-on experience in employment litigation and advisory services, aiming to contribute to a diverse range of client matters involving workplace-related disputes, regulatory compliance, and preventive counseling strategies.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in employment-related disputes, including wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour claims

  • Handle matters involving whistleblower actions, breach of employment contracts, and statutory or common law employment issues

  • Provide legal advice to employers on day-to-day human resource issues and risk mitigation strategies

  • Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, briefs, and discovery documents

  • Participate in depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances

  • Assist in internal investigations and compliance reviews

  • Maintain case management and ensure timely responses to client and court deadlines

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of legal experience focused on employment litigation and/or employment law advisory work

  • Licensed to practice in Massachusetts or eligible for prompt admission

  • Proven track record managing cases or client matters with limited supervision

  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active bar membership in Massachusetts or the ability to obtain promptly

Skills:

  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills

  • Exceptional oral and written communication abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously

  • Detail-oriented approach with commitment to high-quality work

  • Collaborative mindset with initiative and independence
