A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of Texas civil litigation experience and strong academic credentials. This role involves managing a large and active caseload within a dynamic legal environment.

Duties

• Attend meetings, mediations, hearings, pre-trial, and trials.
• Take and defend depositions of witnesses, including corporate representatives and expert witnesses.
• Research case law and statutory authorities.
• Draft motions, discovery requests and responses, scheduling orders, and briefs.
• Prepare cases for jury trials and provide legal guidance to clients.

Requirements

• Admittance to the State Bar of Texas.
• Minimum two years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience with Travis County District Clerk's Office is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Texas.

Skills

• Strong organizational, analytical, writing, and verbal skills.
• Ability to handle a large caseload with minimal supervision.
• Extensive experience in legal research, discovery, mediation, and trial preparation.
