A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Associate Attorney specializing in Workers' Compensation to join its Charleston, SC office. Location:

• Charleston, South Carolina

Duties:

• Conduct file reviews and provide legal analysis of workers’ compensation claims

• Perform extensive legal research and draft client correspondence, discovery devices, summations, appeals, and appellate briefs

• Represent clients regularly at depositions and hearings

• Manage trial preparation and attendance

• Handle expert witness retention and evaluation

• Meet an annual billable hour requirement of 1950 hours

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in workers’ compensation law (experience in other practice areas is a plus)

• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong research capabilities and excellent written and oral communication skills

• Ability to self-manage workload and work effectively within a team environment

• Prompt responsiveness to email and telephone inquiries

• Outstanding client service skills and professional telephone etiquette

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the state of South Carolina (additional state admissions are a plus but not required)
