Job Overview: A law firm in New York City, NY, is seeking a Research And Writing Attorney to contribute to their legal team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing legal research, analysis, and writing, including preparing motions in Limine and responding to motions for summary judgment and other dispositive motions. They will manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines while effectively communicating with team members.

Duties:

• Perform legal research, analysis, and writing
• Prepare motions in Limine and respond to motions for summary judgment and other dispositive motions
• Manage and prioritize multiple cases and deadlines
• Communicate effectively with team members

Requirements:

• 5+ years of strong legal research and writing experience
• Licensed with the New York State Bar
• Proficiency in using legal research tools such as Westlaw
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
• Ability to take direction and constructive criticism
• Experience with appellate practice a plus

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• New York State Bar license
