Job Overview:
A well-established law firm based in Rockville, MD, is seeking an experienced and motivated Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for family law and litigation, and a strong desire to grow professionally in a collaborative environment. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse legal matters while honing research, writing, and advocacy skills.

Duties:

• Draft and prepare family law-related legal documents
• Respond to and propound discovery requests
• Draft motions and other legal filings
• Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues
• Manage case files and litigation tasks from start to finish
• Collaborate with colleagues while also working autonomously
• Provide exceptional legal counsel to clients
• Attend hearings and trials as necessary

Requirements:

• Admission to the Maryland Bar in good standing
• Strong legal analysis and research capabilities
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Certifications:

• An active member of the Maryland State Bar

Skills:

• Strong legal writing and research skills
• Proficiency in case management
• Knowledge of family law preferred
• Spanish language proficiency (preferred but not required)
