Job Overview

A law firm seeks a defense litigation attorney to join its team in New York, NY. This primarily remote position requires two in-office days per month. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Duties

• Handle civil or criminal litigation cases from inception through resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft persuasive legal documents.
• Advocate effectively in oral arguments and court proceedings.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of civil or criminal litigation experience required.
• Experience as an assistant district attorney, corporation counsel, or in medical malpractice preferred.
• Products liability, premises liability, and general liability experience preferred.
• Must be admitted to practice in New York.
• Admission in New Jersey and/or Pennsylvania preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the New York State Bar.
