Profile

A law firm seeks an accomplished Finance Partner to join its Corporate and Finance practice group in New York City. This role is designed for a professional with extensive experience in commercial finance transactions and a desire to further develop client relationships. The firm offers a collaborative and dynamic environment for business development and professional growth.

Duties:

• Advise and represent lenders, borrowers, sponsors, and institutional investors in a range of complex commercial finance transactions.
• Lead and manage secured and unsecured financing deals, including asset-based, cash flow, senior, mezzanine, and subordinated finance, as well as leveraged and acquisition finance.
• Provide legal support on structured finance, private credit, and direct lending transactions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of finance-related legal documents, such as inter-creditor agreements and loan documentation.
• Collaborate across practice groups to deliver comprehensive legal solutions that address clients' multifaceted needs.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in commercial finance law, with a focus on negotiating, structuring, and documenting finance transactions.
• Expertise in commercial mortgage transactions, leveraged acquisition financings, asset-based financings, and cross-border financing.
• Experience advising a wide range of financial institutions, including traditional and non-traditional lenders, servicers, and advisory clients.
• Proven ability to manage complex financing matters, including senior, mezzanine, and subordinated debt transactions.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction (New York).

Skills:

• Strong drafting, negotiation, and legal research skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for managing client relationships.
• Ability to multitask and handle complex transactions efficiently.
