Duties:

• Represent states, counties, housing authorities, and other governmental entities or 501(c)(3) organizations as bond counsel in various financing matters, including bond and lease financings and economic development incentives.
• Act as counsel for underwriters and banks in public finance transactions.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective delivery of legal services to clients.
• Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met throughout the legal process.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) with strong academic credentials.
• 0-4 years of relevant work experience; prior public finance or bond counsel experience is not required.
• Demonstrated interest in transactional legal work.
• Superior oral and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to excellence.
• Independent, action-oriented thinker capable of managing projects with minimal supervision.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the state bar where the position is located is preferred.

Skills:

• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Knowledge of municipal finance and bond terminology is preferred but not required.
• Experience in public finance, securities, or real estate is a plus.
