A prominent law firm based in Albany, NY is seeking a dedicated Litigation Associate to handle a diverse caseload within the realm of family law. This role involves courtroom advocacy, strategic litigation planning, and direct client engagement in emotionally complex legal matters. Duties:

• Represent clients in contested family law matters, including separation, custody, support disputes, and protective order proceedings

• Draft comprehensive legal documents such as pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and settlement proposals

• Participate in court proceedings, including hearings, pre-trial motions, and trials

• Provide clear, consistent legal guidance to clients throughout the litigation lifecycle

• Coordinate closely with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff to advance case strategy

• Engage in out-of-court dispute resolution methods, including negotiation and mediation

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited institution

• Admission to practice law in the State of New York

• Familiarity with family law litigation and procedures

• Confidence in oral advocacy and courtroom presentation

• Ability to handle sensitive client matters with empathy and tact

• Demonstrated time management and case prioritization skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New York State

Skills:
