A reputable law firm in Chicago, IL, is seeking an experienced Insurance and Reinsurance Litigation Associate Attorney to join its thriving practice. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation, including proficiency in handling professional liability, general liability, and directors' and officers' insurance policies. The firm is recognized for its expertise in representing insurers on complex and high-stakes cases involving coverage and reinsurance matters.

Duties:

• Draft pleadings and dispositive motions for litigation matters
• Manage all phases of discovery and discovery motion practice
• Conduct depositions and represent clients in court appearances
• Independently manage cases while collaborating with the legal team
• Assist in business development and client management
• Handle complex insurance coverage issues, including those related to professional liability, general liability, and D&O insurance policies

Requirements:

• 4-7 years of experience in insurance coverage and commercial litigation
• Strong background in civil litigation, including extensive discovery and motion practice
• Experience in business development and managing client relationships
• High level of ability in drafting legal documents, motions, and conducting depositions
• Experience with high-exposure, complex claims preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active State Bar license in Illinois
