Job Overview:
A respected law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney with a strong background in appellate practice and trial support. The ideal candidate will possess four to six years of relevant experience, including courtroom exposure involving appellate oral arguments, motion practice, and trial preparation. Judicial clerkship experience is a significant advantage. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-level litigation and appellate matters across various office locations. This position is being offered through a legal recruiting agency on behalf of the hiring law firm.

Location:

• Florham Park, NJ

Duties:

• Handle appellate oral arguments and draft appellate briefs

• Argue dispositive and evidentiary motions

• Participate in charge conferences and ensure accurate record preservation during trials

• Provide legal research and strategic input for complex litigation and appeals

• Support trial teams with high-level legal analysis and drafting responsibilities

• Collaborate with attorneys and staff on case preparation and execution

Requirements:

• 4 to 6 years of experience in appellate practice and trial support

• Demonstrated courtroom experience, including appellate oral advocacy and trial litigation

• Strong written and oral advocacy skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines efficiently

• Team-oriented mindset with capacity to work independently

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Strong academic performance required

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

• Advanced legal writing and editing abilities

• Proficient in appellate procedure and motion practice

• Strong legal research skills using both traditional and digital tools

• Excellent communication, both written and verbal

• Strong organizational and time management capabilities
