Duties

• Prepare legal notices and represent landlords in non-payment and holdover evictions.
• Handle matters in Special Civil Part from inception through trial, including drafting pleadings and conducting trials.
• Represent landlords in summary dispossess proceedings.
• Represent clients in municipal court.
• Conduct legal research to support senior attorneys.
• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Assist in courtroom proceedings and eventually manage own caseload.

Requirements

• 1-4 years of legal experience.
• Knowledge of landlord-tenant law preferred.
• Basic knowledge of court rules and motion practice required.
• Knowledge of real estate transactions or condominium law is a plus.
• Ability to commute or relocate to Rochelle Park, NJ.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the NJ Bar.
