Junior Toxic Tort Associate Attorney

A law firm in San Diego is seeking a Junior Toxic Tort Associate Attorney with 2+ years of asbestos or toxic tort litigation experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking and defending expert and witness depositions, drafting original motions and other litigation-related documents on complex matters, drafting discovery requests and responses, developing client relationships through oral and written communication, and preparing for trial including motions in limine, exhibit lists, and witness lists. The position requires a Juris Doctor degree from a top law school, California Bar licensure, experience in a billable work environment, and superior written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.

Duties:

• Take and defend expert and witness depositions.
• Draft original motions and other litigation-related documents on complex matters.
• Draft discovery requests and responses to be exchanged with various parties.
• Develop client relationships through oral and written communication.
• Prepare for trial, including motions in limine, exhibit lists, and witness lists.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top law school.
• Licensed to practice law in California.
• 2 years of asbestos or toxic tort litigation experience.
• Experience in a billable work environment.
• Superior written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated individual with high energy willing to complete responsibilities on deadline.
