Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate with four to six years of sophisticated real estate finance experience to join its Real Estate practice in St. Louis. The successful candidate will focus on complex debt and equity transactions, working closely with colleagues in New York on securitized and structured real estate finance matters. This role offers immediate responsibility for significant transactions and direct client interaction.

Duties

• Structure, document, and close various loan and credit facilities for diverse sectors.
• Negotiate intercreditor, co-lender, and syndication arrangements for complex capital stacks.
• Coordinate multistate and multijurisdictional diligence to ensure seamless closings.
• Advise on joint venture and development arrangements, including governance and exit strategies.
• Mentor junior associates and supervise paralegal work streams.

Requirements

• At least four years of concentrated real estate finance experience at a reputable law firm.
• Familiarity with CMBS, CRE-CLO, and balance-sheet loan programs preferred.
• Comfort managing due diligence and closing mechanics for large transactions.
• Admission to the Missouri Bar; New York Bar admission or eligibility is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Missouri Bar.
