A prominent Los Angeles-based law firm is actively seeking a skilled and client-focused Pre-Litigation Attorney to handle plaintiff-side personal injury matters. The role includes working with a dedicated internal team of legal professionals and support staff who assist throughout the pre-litigation process, including medical record review, lien resolution, negotiation, and case closeout. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a high level of commitment, strong advocacy, and an eagerness to drive positive client outcomes.

Duties:

• Oversee and manage a high-volume caseload of pre-litigation personal injury matters

• Engage directly with clients to ensure high-touch legal service and case progression

• Coordinate with support staff, including paralegals, intake assistants, and negotiators

• Review and analyze medical records, police reports, and other case evidence

• Negotiate claims with insurance adjusters to obtain optimal settlements

• Prepare cases for transition to the litigation team when necessary

• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members as needed

• Maintain thorough documentation and communication throughout the case lifecycle

Requirements:

• Minimum 5-10 years of legal experience, with at least 2 years in personal injury law (plaintiff or defense)

• Active and good-standing license with the California State Bar

• Strong interpersonal skills for client and colleague communication

• Demonstrated ability to manage large caseloads efficiently

• Organizational skills and attention to detail are required for overseeing case files and internal collaboration

• Comfortable working in a team-driven and goal-oriented environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of California (mandatory)

Skills:

• Strong negotiation and advocacy skills

• Ability to analyze complex medical and liability documentation

• Client service mindset with the ability to build trust quickly

• Spanish fluency is a plus

• Familiarity with case management systems and legal documentation processes
