A prominent international law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2 to 4 years of experience in antitrust and competition law to join its team in Chicago. Location:

• Chicago, IL

Duties:

• Provide legal counsel on antitrust matters involving mergers and acquisitions, merger control, and investigations

• Handle Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) filings and evaluate antitrust risk in transactions involving horizontal or vertical overlaps

• Represent clients in matters before the DOJ and FTC

• Draft and review legal memoranda, filings, and client communications

• Participate in antitrust litigation and regulatory proceedings

• Collaborate with partners and other practice groups across the firm on high-profile transactions and cases

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of experience handling antitrust issues, including M&A transactions, investigations, and compliance counseling

• Experience with HSR matters preferred

• Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work well both independently and within a team

• J.D. from an accredited law school with a strong academic record

• Admission to the Illinois (or eligibility for admission)

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Licensed to practice in Illinois

Skills:

• Antitrust litigation and regulatory counseling

• Transactional support (M&A, joint ventures, etc.)

• Merger clearance and compliance strategy

• Legal drafting and research

• Effective client communication and matter management
