This role involves working on a variety of legal matters, including foreclosures (both commercial and residential), bankruptcies, lender liability defense, and commercial collections. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of relevant laws and will collaborate with a team in the New York office, with occasional opportunities for remote work.

Duties

• Handle cases related to commercial and residential foreclosures
• Manage bankruptcy filings and creditor defense cases
• Assist with lender liability defense and legal disputes
• Handle commercial collections and debt recovery processes
• Provide legal counsel and advice to clients
• Research and apply state and federal laws related to foreclosure and bankruptcy
• Collaborate with legal teams and external partners for case management

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in the state of New York
• 3-7 years of relevant legal experience in commercial litigation or creditors' rights
• Familiarity with foreclosure and bankruptcy laws at both state and federal levels

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar
