Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Labor and Employment Associate for its Los Angeles, CA office. The ideal candidate will possess five to seven years of relevant experience in labor and employment law.

Duties

• Defend against single plaintiff litigation matters, including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
• Handle wage and hour cases and reasonable accommodation issues.
• Manage PAGA matters and class actions.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys while handling day-to-day case responsibilities.
• Draft and respond to initial pleadings and discovery.
• Draft and argue dispositive and discovery motions.
• Conduct and defend depositions, including plaintiff and corporate witness depositions.
• Provide employment counseling on federal and state employment laws and regulations (preferred).

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (JD) required.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of California.

Education

• Juris Doctorate (JD)

Certifications

• California State Bar License

Skills

• Strong research and writing skills.
