Job Overview: A law firm in Bloomfield Hills, MI, is seeking a highly experienced Partner-Level Attorney to join their Data Privacy and Cybersecurity practice group. The ideal candidate will provide expert legal counsel on breach response and data privacy matters, contributing to the firm's reputation as a leader in this specialized field.

Duties:

• Provide strategic legal advice and representation to clients on data privacy and cybersecurity issues.
• Lead and manage complex breach response efforts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Develop and implement proactive data privacy strategies and policies for clients.
• Conduct risk assessments and advise on data protection measures.
• Negotiate and draft contracts related to data privacy and cybersecurity.

Requirements:

• Significant relevant experience in data privacy and cybersecurity law, preferably in a law firm setting.
• Proven track record in handling breach response and data privacy counseling.
• Strong academic credentials, including a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Michigan or eligible for admission by waiver.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Certification in data privacy (e.g., CIPP/US, CIPP/E) or cybersecurity is highly desirable.
• Ability to manage and mentor junior attorneys and legal staff.
• Demonstrated business development acumen and client relationship management skills.
