Location

Duties

• Manage a litigation caseload independently, overseeing cases from inception through resolution

• Conduct detailed legal research and analysis concerning transportation law and related regulations

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other litigation documents

• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations

• Negotiate settlements and agreements demonstrating strong advocacy skills

• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple offices to ensure a cohesive team approach

• Provide strategic legal guidance to client stakeholders with detailed case analysis reports

Requirements

• 8+ years of general casualty litigation experience

• First and/or second chair trial experience

• Trial experience mandatory

• Deposition and motion practice experience required

• Transportation, logistics, trucking, and regulatory experience preferred

• Familiarity with emerging e-commerce and gig economy legal issues preferred but not mandatory

• Superior analytical, written, and oral communication skills

• Advanced technical proficiency with litigation support tools

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in the State of New York
