Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Junior Litigation Associate in Los Angeles, CA. The firm specializes in Plaintiff's Elder Abuse and Personal Injury cases and is looking for a dedicated individual to join their team. Duties

• Communicate and manage relationships with clients and document interactions.
• Engage with opposing counsel and participate in discovery and motion drafting.
• Take and defend depositions and fully investigate each case.
• Attend depositions, hearings, conferences, interviews, and trials.
• Research applicable laws and interview witnesses and parties.
• Meditate cases and prepare for trial, aiming to try at least three cases per year.
• Advocate at trial and counsel clients post-settlement.
• Lead weekly calendar meetings with assigned paralegal.
• Submit quarterly fee reports to the owner.
• Maintain professional standards and perform other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Active member of the State Bar of California in good standing.
• Trial experience in personal injury cases.
• Ability to manage 50+ litigation cases effectively.
• Strong legal research, communication, and writing skills.
• Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work independently and in a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in California.
