Duties:

• Handle a caseload primarily consisting of complex medical malpractice defense matters.

• Represent healthcare professionals and facilities in litigation involving claims of negligence, professional liability, and catastrophic injury.

• Participate in all phases of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.

• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and formulate case strategies.

• Appear in court and administrative proceedings on behalf of clients.

• Collaborate with senior attorneys and mentoring partners to build litigation and client advocacy skills.

• Support the team in managing license disciplinary actions related to healthcare providers.

• Maintain consistent communication with clients, keeping them informed throughout the litigation process.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of litigation experience, preferably with a focus on healthcare, medical malpractice, or catastrophic injury defense.

• Demonstrated interest in defending complex, high-stakes healthcare litigation matters.

• Strong analytical, research, and writing capabilities.

• Effective case management and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team.

• A steady and consistent work history indicates commitment to long-term career growth.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Active and good-standing membership with the Delaware State Bar, or eligibility for immediate admission.
