Duties:

• Evaluate new case files to develop legal strategies, budgets, and action plans

• Determine procedural requirements and delegate preliminary tasks to support staff

• Draft and review legal documents, including discovery responses and pleadings

• Oversee document production and coordinate with clients and internal teams

• Participate in depositions, hearings, and related proceedings; provide detailed case updates

• Negotiate case resolutions and prepare matters for trial when needed

• Maintain consistent communication with paralegals, legal assistants, and clients

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in South Carolina

• 3-5 years of relevant litigation experience, preferably within insurance defense or civil litigation

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently

• Experience conducting or supporting depositions, hearings, and motion practice

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for client interaction and legal advocacy

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the South Carolina State Bar (Required)

Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Comfortable with legal databases and case management software

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also independently handling assignments
