Associate Attorney needed for Los Angeles office

Job Overview:
A prominent personal injury law firm is currently seeking an Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Los Angeles. This role provides an opportunity to work closely with a Lead Attorney on a variety of personal injury cases including auto accidents, wrongful death, medical malpractice, and premises liability. The position is ideal for a dedicated and results-oriented attorney looking to develop courtroom experience and grow within a thriving legal team.

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Propound and respond to discovery

• Draft and review motions, pleadings, complaints, and other litigation-related documents

• Conduct legal research and writing

• Prepare for, take, and defend depositions

• Represent clients in state and federal court hearings

• Assist Lead Attorneys with maintaining and progressing a heavy case load

• Prepare for second-chair roles in trial proceedings

• Investigate and prepare demand letters to insurance companies

• Negotiate and settle claims with insurance companies across multiple jurisdictions

• File civil lawsuits and manage litigation strategy from initiation through resolution

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in California

• Good standing with the California State Bar

• Experience working in a fast-paced litigation environment

• Strong attention to deadlines and the ability to multitask effectively

• Prior personal injury experience preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the California State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent research, writing, and oral communication skills

• Strong organizational and case management abilities

• Ability to work collaboratively and take direction from senior attorneys

• Self-motivated, coachable, and eager to grow professionally

• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
