Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly skilled Senior Estate Litigation Associate to join their Trusts & Estates team in the United States. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience managing complex estate and trust litigation matters, a deep understanding of New York Surrogate's Court procedures, and the ability to work directly with high-net-worth clients, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries.

Duties

• Manage complex estate and trust litigation matters independently.
• Work directly with high-net-worth clients, fiduciaries, and beneficiaries.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in all tasks.
• Collaborate effectively within a legal team environment.

Requirements

• At least five years of experience in estate litigation and administration.
• Ability to handle Surrogate's Court litigation independently.
• Strong working knowledge of SCPA, EPTL, and related statutes.
• Excellent writing skills with motion practice experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the New York State Bar.

Skills

• Experience with Tax and/or Elder Law preferred.
• Project management or supervision experience preferred.
• Experience with Corporate or Real Estate law is a plus.
• Prior clerking experience at Surrogate's Court is a plus.
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
