Job Title: Patent Agent

Job Overview: A law firm seeks a Patent Agent to work with clients on innovative and cutting-edge technologies, procuring patent protection, and building IP portfolios. The role involves drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications, supporting due diligence, and providing litigation support. The Patent Agent must demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and project management abilities.

Duties:

• Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications on behalf of clients.
• Provide support for due diligence, landscape analysis, freedom-to-operate analysis, and validity assessment.
• Support patent litigation efforts.
• Draft responses to rejection of patent applications from the USPTO and other worldwide Patent Offices.
• Establish and maintain internal practices, procedures, and technology for patent-related information, filings, and deadlines.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external clients on all levels.
• Work as part of a global professional team.
• Demonstrate advanced writing skills and the ability to research information for clear and concise communication.
• Manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines.
• Think creatively, exercising good judgment and decision-making capabilities.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
• 2 years of experience in patent prosecution is preferred.
• Registered with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
