A prominent law firm in San Antonio is seeking a motivated Case Intake and Development Attorney to join its expanding team. Acting as the primary point of contact for new clients, this role involves evaluating potential cases, guiding clients through the intake process, and managing early-stage case development to ensure successful transfer to litigation teams. The position offers a dynamic environment for attorneys looking to enhance their experience in personal injury law while working closely with both clients and case managers.

Duties

  • Manage a docket of approximately 50 pre-litigation matters with a designated case manager

  • Conduct fact-finding efforts, including accident reports, witness statements, and site inspections

  • Prepare letters of representation, record requests, and evidence documentation

  • Assist clients in developing and documenting medical damages

  • Handle property damage claims and communicate with insurance adjusters

  • Approve expense requests and maintain detailed monthly case updates

  • Participate in client sign-ups in the office, remotely, or off-site when necessary

  • Conduct after-hours client intake and sign-up rotation

  • Provide consistent status letters and timely responses to client inquiries

  • Perform legal research and background checks (social media, criminal, etc.)

  • Participate in strategic case reviews and settlement preparation

  • Ensure all ethical and legal requirements are upheld throughout the intake process

Requirements

  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas in good standing

  • 0-3 years of personal injury or relevant legal experience

  • Valid Texas driver's license with a clean driving record

  • Availability for rotational after-hours work

  • Strong client service orientation

  • Experience supervising non-attorney staff is advantageous

  • Comfortable with technology and electronic document workflows (e.g., DocuSign)

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in Texas

Skills

  • High-level interpersonal and emotional intelligence

  • Effective case and time management

  • Legal research and analytical thinking

  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Sales aptitude and ability to articulate service value

  • Leadership and motivational capabilities

  • Familiarity with CRM or legal intake systems is beneficial
