Duties
Conduct in-depth analysis of workplace statutes (e.g., FMLA, ADA, Wage and Hour) to shape strategy and counsel clients
Lead or participate in employment-related litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs
Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and other dispute-resolution forums
Collaborate with senior counsel on complex cases and support trial preparation
Guide administrative staff on client billing, meetings, invoicing, and project wrap‐up
Prepare and review employment policies, handbooks, and compliance materials for health care organizations
Requirements
Active admission to the Indiana bar
3–6 years of hands-on employment law experience, preferably with a health care focus
Demonstrated familiarity with federal and state employment statutes (e.g., FMLA, ADA, Fair Labor Standards Act)
Proven track record in employment litigation or related dispute resolution
Strong analytical, writing, and oral advocacy abilities
Self‐starter who thrives in a collaborative, multi‐state practice setting
Education
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Certifications
Indiana Bar admission (required)
Any additional labor/employment certifications (e.g., SHRM‐CP, PHR) are considered a plus
Skills
Expertise in drafting and arguing motions, briefs, and employment-related pleadings
Proficiency with legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)
Excellent interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration
Ability to distill complex legal issues into clear, strategic guidance
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capacity to manage multiple matters concurrently
