Duties:
Draft and prosecute domestic and international patent applications
Collaborate with inventors and technical experts to evaluate innovations
Conduct patentability, freedom-to-operate, and infringement analyses
Manage a diverse docket involving chemical and mechanical subject matter
Prepare legal opinions and provide strategic IP counseling
Support due diligence for IP transactions and portfolio assessments
Engage in client development and internal team collaboration
Requirements:
1-3 years of patent prosecution experience
Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
Demonstrated experience with technologies related to chemical engineering, materials science, polymers, and medical devices
Familiarity with both chemical and mechanical patent preparation and prosecution
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Admission to the bar in any U.S. jurisdiction
Education:
J.D. from an accredited law school
B.S. or higher in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related technical field
Certifications:
USPTO Registration Number required
State Bar admission required
Skills:
Excellent legal research and technical writing skills
Ability to effectively translate complex scientific concepts into legal language
Collaborative mindset with attention to client service
Comfortable working independently and within a team
Capable of handling a varied and technically diverse IP docket
Job Location:
