Job Overview:

A prominent law firm based in Miami, FL, seeks an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Insurance Coverage practice group. Duties:

• Conduct a detailed file review and analysis of insurance claims and legal causes of action

• Perform in-depth legal research and draft substantive briefs, memoranda, pleadings, and appellate documents

• Maintain an annual billable target of 1950 hours

• Represent clients regularly in court hearings, arbitrations, and depositions

• Draft, review, and respond to discovery requests

• Coordinate with expert witnesses, including retention and preparation

• Prepare for trials and participate in trial proceedings

• Engage in occasional travel for client or court obligations

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance coverage litigation preferred

• Active license to practice law in Florida; admission in additional jurisdictions is advantageous

• Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities

• Strong proficiency in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy

• Demonstrated ability to manage workloads independently while contributing to team success

• Prompt responsiveness to client communications and case developments

• Professional demeanor with excellent client relationship skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Florida Bar in good standing

• Additional Bar admissions considered an asset
