A well-established law firm in Huntington, NY, is looking to add a dedicated Associate Attorney to its Matrimonial and Family Law team. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience and a strong commitment to providing top-tier legal representation. Duties:

• Represent clients in both Supreme Court and Family Court proceedings related to matrimonial and family law cases.
• Draft and review various legal documents including pleadings, motions, letters, and settlement agreements.
• Prepare and file pendente lite motions, adhering to strict deadlines.
• Oversee the discovery process, including handling document inspection and preparation for depositions and trials.
• Conduct legal research and maintain proficiency in necessary legal software such as Lexis Nexis.
• Participate in virtual hearings and appearances, navigating the court's digital systems when required.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of prior experience practicing Matrimonial and Family Law.
• Must be proficient with NYSCEF (New York State Courts Electronic Filing).
• Experience with virtual court hearings and appearances is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously while handling sensitive and confidential matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Active admission to the New York Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York Bar is required.

Skills:

• Strong legal research and drafting skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Lexis Nexis.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional client communication skills.
