Job Title: Associate Attorney
Job Overview:
A law firm based in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Associate Attorney to support litigation and case development efforts within a creditor rights practice. This position involves a combination of research, court appearances, legal documentation, and collaborative work with legal teams and clients. Duties:
Interpret and apply client-specific protocols and legal frameworks to manage legal matters effectively
Conduct in-depth legal research across statutes, regulations, case law, and court procedures
Prepare for and attend court proceedings, status conferences, and client consultations
Oversee the discovery process, draft pleadings and motions, and supervise support staff
Coordinate case timelines and ensure compliance with procedural and filing deadlines
Communicate proactively with internal teams and clients regarding workflow and policy updates
Monitor case-related expenses and suggest process efficiencies
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to refine case handling and legal service delivery
Participate in professional development, including legal education programs and industry networking
Support organizational goals by adapting to new assignments and identifying ways to enhance value
Requirements:
Licensed to practice law in the State of California
Demonstrated knowledge of civil litigation, from initiation to post-judgment proceedings
Familiarity with creditor rights law is preferred
Strong legal writing, research, and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Collaborative mindset with adaptability to changing case demands
Must be physically located in California and work onsite in a legal office setting
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Certifications:
Active and valid membership with the California State Bar
Skills:
