Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm based in Santa Ana, CA, is seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Associate Attorney to support litigation and case development efforts within a creditor rights practice. This position involves a combination of research, court appearances, legal documentation, and collaborative work with legal teams and clients. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical acumen, familiarity with litigation workflows, and a commitment to professional development in a fast-paced legal environment.

Duties:

• Interpret and apply client-specific protocols and legal frameworks to manage legal matters effectively

• Conduct in-depth legal research across statutes, regulations, case law, and court procedures

• Prepare for and attend court proceedings, status conferences, and client consultations

• Oversee the discovery process, draft pleadings and motions, and supervise support staff

• Coordinate case timelines and ensure compliance with procedural and filing deadlines

• Communicate proactively with internal teams and clients regarding workflow and policy updates

• Monitor case-related expenses and suggest process efficiencies

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to refine case handling and legal service delivery

• Participate in professional development, including legal education programs and industry networking

• Support organizational goals by adapting to new assignments and identifying ways to enhance value

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of California

• Demonstrated knowledge of civil litigation, from initiation to post-judgment proceedings

• Familiarity with creditor rights law is preferred

• Experience in creditors’ rights law is a plus.

• Strong legal writing, research, and verbal communication skills

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Collaborative mindset with adaptability to changing case demands

• Must be physically located in California and work onsite in a legal office setting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and valid membership with the California State Bar

Skills:
